A little work-related pride – I’m excited about the Australia Post Digital MailBox coming in 2012 (full disclosure, i work for AusPost but wasn’t asked to write about this & don’t benefit from writing about it).
I just wanted to share the news, preceded by some quotes via our CEO and MD Ahmed Fahour:
“For 200 years, Australia Post has provided Australians with a trusted and reliable way to communicate. With our extensive physical presence across the country we will continue to play this role in the future – but in new and different ways… the needs of our customers are changing and we need to continue to offer a number of communication platforms to help our customers connect conveniently in person and to transact securely online.
We want to be the place where ‘the digital economy connects with the physical world’ – for all Australians.
Using our Digital MailBox, customers can connect with service providers they have relationships with – such as banks, utilities, telecommunications and government entities – and receive statements, set reminders and make payments online, using any PC or mobile device, anywhere in the world.
Australia Post will provide a free and secure Digital MailBox for every Australian, allowing customers to receive and store their important documents in a secure online environment. Using one username and password, individuals can access their Australia Post Digital MailBox 24/7, wherever they are”
